Eminem/Slim Shady

Eminem/ Slim Shady
Marshall Bruce Mathews III was born on October 17 1972. Marshall had many problems as a child one of the main problems was he had no father figure. Another main reason is he and his mom were constantly moving until he was at the age of 14. After he finally stopped moving he became interested in hip/hop, rap and started participating in underground rap battles at the age of 17. Early in his career Eminem was “sponsored” by brothers Jeff and Bark Mass, in their basement. Then shortly after that Eminem got a minimum wage job at a restaurant to help raise his daughter Hailie. Once Dr. Dre heard about Eminem he helped Eminem by promoting his songs and producing some of them and helped him become famous. Eminem then sold many records very fast, but one record “ The Marshall Mathers LP” broke the record for most sold copies in a limited time set by Britney Spears and Snoop Dogg. Some of Eminem’s other highest and best albums include; The Eminem Show and Encore.

Eminem or Slim Shady was also in a band. Slim shady was one of the former singers in D12 before they split up and went on to solo careers. Slim Shady and his “crew” then regrouped after a 4 year brake from 2000-2004 and made a new song called “My Band” . After a turn of unfortunate event one of the D12 members was shot by a bouncer and cousin of a different band. Slim shady and the rest of his band then spoke at his funeral wishing him to Rest In Peace.

Furthermore Slim Shady also produced a few movies and voiced some characters in 50 cent bulletproof. Eminem’s 8 Mile autobiographical movie was very successful and personally helped me understand his life better. But his second film was not as successful The Wash.

Slim Shady then had many legal troubles that not only involved his at the time wife but also his career. At one incident he pulled out and unloaded gun and pointed it at the ground and yelled at a man. In another incident he assaulted a bouncer for kissing his wife. Furthermore he was sued by his own mother for using her name in one of his songs and discrediting her. Then he was arrested for the previous assaults and was given probation and forced to do several hours of community service. To end all of these legal troubles Slim shady became independent from drugs and finally sobered up.
