Sometimes murder is a necessary evil.
-I agree with this statement. I am in agreement with this statement because to me it seems if two countries or groups are at war and one of the countries or groups is in the wrong and will try to kill people for something of less value then life. For example, currently the United States of America is at war in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting the terrorist groups there. The only way for the states to win the war is to stop or suppress the terrorist groups by killing them because the terrorist will stop at nothing to cause terror in the United States and other countries they do not like or that have “wronged” them. Furthermore, I agree with this statement because certain types of people like serial killers and psychos have a certain mind-set, that probably was exposed to them in their childhood years, that they cannot change and all they want to do and all they think about is killing or breaking the law and the only way to keep the innocent safe is by disposing or killing these individuals.

2.) If the court system fails, then society should take the law into its own hands.
-I agree that if the court system fails then society should take law into its own hands. I agree with this statement because I feel that if society helps to make the laws then society should choose whether or not that person is guilty that is being judged by the court system. For example, if a rapist gets away with rape because of a corrupt court system then society should be able to make this person go to jail or be killed because the court failed to follow the rules that were set in place. To continue, I think that nowadays there are more corrupt court systems then non corrupt court systems and that there should always be a jury in the court no matter what the accusation or crime. Also, there have been several occasions around the world where people have taken the law into their own hands even when the court system wasn’t involved yet. Most of these cases have happened overseas and regarding child molesters. Furthermore, society would be brought together and people would be able to agree with one another more if the law was taken into society’s hands. This is why we have volunteer firefighters and volunteer police men in the United States today.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-4119361189998155442009-12-19T18:02:00.001-07:002009-12-19T18:02:24.317-07:00DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-16733228383064812912009-11-16T11:41:00.005-07:002009-11-18T13:08:07.875-07:00E-HarmonyName: Guy Montag

Age: 34

Relationship Status: Married

Job Status: Unemployed recently quit.

Interests: Clarisse, Books people with opinions and life.

Dislikes: Boss, Job, Killing people, Mechanical hounds, Firemen, The Police.

Kids: None
Religion: My Jesus is a movie star.

DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-28239787156899069452009-10-07T07:23:00.002-06:002009-10-09T00:08:35.649-06:00Agree/DisagreeMr. White, English
Grade 9

Logan Pittman

06/10/09

Do you agree or disagree?

1.) Do you thing everyone should read books?

- I do not think that everyone should be forced to read books, but I think it would be a good idea. Yes for several reasons. First off, it can help you learn about a place you could be moving to g before you got here. Lastly, it could help you learn how to do something like learn a language. Furthermore I think that books are a good way to obtain knowledge about the world and other peoples’ view of the world.

2.) Censorship can be a good thing?

-In my opinion some censorship can be a good thing. I think this way because it helps to keep people from committing crimes and helps not only governments but also helps the person being censored from getting into trouble. Also censorship is kind of a way of mentorship which helps the person being mentored learn. Furthermore when the government of the country censors something because it is secret and important, maybe even secret to that country.

3.) Literature can be dangerous?

-In my opinion literature can be dangerous if a person takes it too seriously and if it mentally or damages that person or causes that person to bring harm to other people. Furthermore, literature can damage a person or many persons by telling lies about them or project a bad image on those people as the news sometimes does.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-80329958053244465452009-08-08T16:21:00.000-06:002009-08-08T16:22:23.227-06:00DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-27474917002034921222009-05-20T06:44:00.006-06:002009-05-20T08:33:58.529-06:00News FlashRomanian's accused of cheating
in the 2009 Euro vision! Romanian's
were blamed for trying to harm and
scare the Albanian contestant.

During the performance of the Albanian
singer the Romanian's put a man dressed
as Dracula on stage behind the Albanian
singer to try and frighten her. Their
plan to scare the Albanian singer did not work
but it did however scare one of the dancers causing him to slip and hit the singer
with his back.

The Romanian people were very disturbed by this accusation. Also this caused
less people to vote for Romania and more people to vote for Albania. First of all I would like to say that I liked the movie Twister and I thought that most of the information in it was very accurate.
This movie was about a girl named Joe who lost her father in a tornado. Many years later Joe still feels pain for all the people that lost their loved ones in tornadoes and storms and becomes a meteorologist/storm chaser. Joe also becomes a storm chaser because she wants to launch this invention of her and her partners that is suppose, if launched correctly, gives them readings on tornadoes and will eventually help them warn people at least 15 minutes early before the tornado even touches the surface of the Earth.
Personally I liked the movie Twister but there were some things that, as a scientist, bothered me. For example tornadoes form faster than they did in the movie it takes tornadoes about 20 to 30 seconds to form whereas in the movie it made them take about five minutes. Another example would be the tornadoes moved very slowly in the movie and, once again, in real life the tornadoes move much faster than they did in the movie. But the thing that bothered me the most was when the F5 tornado went over the shed and picked up all the sharp metal tools and Joe was in the tornado nothing even hit her and it didn’t pull out the pipe she was tied up to. I think that, that bothered me because in the middle of the movie a cow was flying around in a tornado and the F5 tornado that Joe was in was almost clear except for some dirt. DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-40666025935980180962009-02-24T06:58:00.006-07:002009-03-11T02:36:58.382-06:00Tribal People In Pakistan (By Logan and Linnea)There are many tribes in Pakistan some ancient some more recent but the main ones are older. Before the religion Islam came to be, mass migrations took place and many people went to Pakistan, India and Saudi Arabia. Which lead to the forming of the main tribe the Huns, they are also known as the Iranian Huns because they come from mainly Iranian descent and to be known different than the Mongolian Huns. The Huns are one of the thirty six clans of the Rajputs. But the main group of the Huns were absorbed into Hinduism and converted into another group leaving the smallest group of the Huns the only trace left of their tribe. <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" coordsize="21600,21600" spt="75" preferrelative="t"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path gradientshapeok="t" extrusionok="f" connecttype="rect"></v:path><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:lock aspectratio="t" ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shapetype>

The second most important tribe is the Punjab. The majority of the Punjab tribe consists of many clans such as the Rajputs and the Jats, another large tribe in the Cholistan tribal area, and their clans such as the Awans, Kkokhars, Ghakkars, Khattars, Janjaus, Arains, Gujjars and many others. Many people from this tribe “claim common ancestry from Otub Shah who is said to have core from Chazni. But geologists say that they were probably told to believe that by one of their previous ruling kings. Almost all tribal people there frequently claim about having ancestry of famous ruling kings and conquerors of India and other Arabian pioneers. But a large number of them do have ancestry from Afghanistan, Iranian, Turkish, and Arab invaders and immigrants. As you can see the tribal people of Pakistan have a very interesting and knowledgeable ancestry.

One of the greatest migrations of Central Asian nomadic tribes in the history of Pakistan are the Huns. White Huns or Epthalite and they had been in the Oxus Valley and came to Pakistan. Around the 5th and 6th Centuries was a turning point in Pakistan’s history because of the mass migrations of the Huns. Politically, it was a turning point because before the arrival of Muslim, they were the ruling class in Pakistan and most of Northern India. Socially, the turning point was because most of the tribes of Pakistan are traceable to them.

When entering the Medieval Period there was confusing. The hordes of foreign invaders were being absorbed into Hindu body politic which began a new grouping of states. Until the arrival of Muslim Turks, this period was known as the Rajput period. Invasions and consequences of the Huns broke historical traditions and those traditions are rarely seen beyond the 8th century.

Interview:

1. Have you ever met any tribal people In Pakistan?

The tribal people we knew were Gujjars (also spelt gujar). While some Gujars have settled down and are living a modern lifestyle, others remain in the traditional extended family tribal groups of 15-30. They wander the northern areas of Pakistan and cross into Afghanistan and India (Kashmir) with their flocks of mostly goats, but also sheep and camels. The camels are used as transport animals. They used to wander freely across borders searching winter and summer pastures (lots of snow forces them south), however, what with the current political problems between Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, their migratory patterns have been curtailed. I believe that many small groups do still wander between India and Pakistan crossing at out of the way points on the border.
The women tend to wear long skirts (like many Roman ladies here in Europe) and generally are in fairly colorful clothing. The men wear the traditional shawar chemise of Pakistan/Afghanistan men. Both men and women generally keep their heads covered. The women wear cheap bangles and necklaces. The unwashed children tag along behind their parents. (Washing children is believed to cause the bad spirits—the jinn—to want them, so if you never wash a kids’ hair (yuck!) then evil will be kept from them.

The gujars we know lived in small tent encampments—sometimes circular in formation—and would stay in one area grazing their cattle until they moved on either from over grazing or forced to move by local inhabitants.
One group of gujars (probably about 20 people) stayed each year for maybe 3-4 years in the late 1980s near the famous archaeological site of Axial (which I led tours of over 115 times.) They made the most amazing huts because they stayed all winter—maybe 4 months at the one site. The huts were formed with a circle base with packed mud/mud bricks (maybe stone in them???) about 4 feet high. A narrow mud platform extended from this outer wall. (Used for sleeping/shelf) Then a teepee like structure was built up from that with long poles. Over the poles there was a little plastic sheeting (not perfect like the American Indian teepees). On top of the plastic and bound into the poles was thatch. The fire for cooking and heating was in the center of this teepee hut with smoke escaping where the poles came together. Inside the hut was very dark, smoky but warm and snug on a 40 degree night.
WE were privileged to go into the hut because their was a very sick (dying) infant and my husband being called Dr. Mates, they took that to mean he was a doctor of medicine. We provided them with a little money to take the baby to a near-by famous missionary hospital.
This group of Gujjars were obviously not in the best of health.

2. What are the main rituals that they do?
This I cannot tell you. Some Gujjars are non-practicing Muslims, while others are Hindus. They probably keep some of the religious traditions of the areas visited. In Pakistan there are a number of Muslim religious shrines (not approved of by Saudi Arabian Wahhabi sect) and they could worship at those sites. While I have seen Gujjars at the shrine sites, they were watching their flocks and not in active worship.

3. Do they have a specific religion?
Varies between Muslim and Hindu depending where they live (Pakistan or India) However the groups are uneducated and have only simple beliefs rather than a formal set religion. That is why I would call them “nominal believers” in Islam or Hinduism.
4. Did they live In houses or some other type of shelter?
See above. Their tents were not “official” tents (ask your Dad!) but rather makeshift affairs made out of poles and various old thick cloth pieces which your mother would call a dirty old rag.

5. Do they welcome foreigners?
Not really. They did not mind when we took pictures, but as all peoples they just wanted to be left alone.

6. Do they sacrifice people to the gods?
No.(Only Muslim terrorists do that in Pakistan.) The tradition among these people would be to sacrifice an animal from their flocks.
But perhaps not educating your children, or giving them basic shots or giving the matted hair dirty kids a bath, is sacrificing them to tradition. I am sure the death rate is high for kids in those families. Imagine having no clean water to drink.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-41142934288491391272009-02-12T11:17:00.001-07:002009-02-12T11:17:31.645-07:00DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-45829931346231654522009-02-11T07:16:00.000-07:002009-02-11T07:18:25.155-07:00The OutsidersObviously there are many similarities and differences between the book and the movie “The Outsiders.”
The three main similarities are the scene were Dally harasses Cherry at the movies, the scene were ponyboy and Jonny are in the hospital and were Jonny and Ponyboy fall asleep in the vacant lot. The similar parts in the movie theater scene are the imagery the character and the actions. The main similarities in the scene were Jonny and Ponyboy are in the hospital are the imagery, the characters and the actions. The similarities in the third scene are the imagery the characters and the actions, but there is one major difference in the imagery. In the book ponyboy has a dream that he and his whole family are living happily in the countryside but in the movie he has a dream that his parents get hit by a train.
The main differences between the movie and the book are when ponyboy writes his paper. In the book, Ponyboy writes his paper at the end of the book but in the movie he writes it at the beginning. Also a scene was occluded in the movie. In the book there is a scene were Soda pop tries to take a police man’s gun and the police officer just smiles at him and laughs. I felt that the scene was very important to the book. The final major difference between the movie and the book is another occluded scene. In the book there was a scene were Ponyboy gets jumped by some Soc’s and in the movie it skipped the whole part. I was very frustrated by that.
I liked “The Outsiders” book more that the movie. I felt that the book developed everyone’s character better than the movie. Personally I felt that the movie left to many scenes out in order for the movie to make the audience really understand what the movie was about. Furthermore I felt that the movie was very choppy and if they wouldn’t have taken so many parts out then it would have been smoother.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-53901390452890094902009-02-08T04:48:00.002-07:002009-02-08T04:52:33.164-07:00<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 291px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiArP79IQYp2wgtolqnmjBNzI5YZN7LF_IuAxDDUKnWi-UmjSNq-WGT3HupEGAuwp854C04quuJbvIW0kxmCkjpu_M6TpX1dWxtAVVFXlYlSM_x4yCmFCB8vX9Bz_wOZPUFja8w7d6YoZ4/s320/gangsta.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300393137139049442" />DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-54163579257202185582009-01-29T11:51:00.001-07:002009-01-29T11:52:35.770-07:00Gamesomething to distract u from bordem(maybe)

a href="http://www.y8.com/games/Hot_Dog_Bush">Hot Dog Bush

Click here to play this gameDcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-36461455445602749912009-01-19T08:13:00.000-07:002009-01-19T08:14:21.194-07:00Vocab Outsiders II-Unceasingly
Not ceasing or stopping; continuous: an unceasing flow of criticism.
Sentence-The church unceasingly burned down until there was nothing left.
-Vagrant
Adjective- wandering or roaming from place to place; nomadic
Noun- a person who wanders about idly and has no permanent home or employment; vagabond; tramp
Sentence- Jonny was constantly vagrant because his parents didn’t care about him.
-Discrimination
Noun- An act or instance of discriminating.
Sentence- The greasers were discriminated against because they were lower class.
-Stereotype
Noun- a simplified and standardized conception or image invested with special meaning and held in common by members of a group: The cowboy and Indian are American stereotypes
Sentence- Because of people like two bit the stereotype that all greasers are hoods was formed.

-Elite
Noun- the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons
Sentence- Darry was the elite member of their family because he worked multiple jobs.
-Incredulous
Adjective- not credulous; disinclined or indisposed to believe; skeptical
Sentence- Cherry was not incredulous towards pony boy.
-Façade
Noun- The front of a building, esp. an imposing or decorative one.
Sentence- Pony boy was façade when it came to emotions.

-Ironic
Adjective- containing or exemplifying irony: an ironic novel; an ironic remark.
Sentence- ?
-Elude
Verb- to avoid or escape by speed, cleverness, trickery, etc.; evade: to elude capture.
Sentence- Dallas eluded the cops and made them think that pony boy was headed to Texas.
-Credible
Adjective- capable of being believed; believable: a credible statement
Sentence- Because pony boy never lied to his big brother he was credible.
-Premonition
Noun- a feeling of anticipation of or anxiety over a future event; presentiment: He had a vague premonition of danger.
Sentence- Pony boy had a good premonition about the rumble.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-18414892946827569172009-01-10T08:58:00.002-07:002009-01-10T09:08:26.982-07:00News Flash<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 251px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUaf90BXxcZ6pnJTAjEKqIbzwzyIYV67DlCIojRzZ8bM-X3C4jQal0rNFGIsTdGz9NmxSp5lnvG2VlStOqlj-MHEiDMji5pczwaJsLOi9AwlBoyi49hwH7wPSBiQFSH4JaUmJK1zquves/s320/funny+dog+pic.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289695385515855394" />

Dc Rock

As you can see music has not only taken over the human world but has
infected animals too. Also I like to find out what new games come out. I particularly liked this podcast because it is an unofficial show which means that they arent obligated to say specific things about the company or game. Furthermore, they have many other podcasts about other games but mainly only about x-box and x-box 360 games. I reccomend this podcast if you like game imformers and faqs on how to improve your gameing skill.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-48508748082129214852008-10-26T05:58:00.001-06:002008-10-26T06:31:46.334-06:00<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 208px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxWyxnOrUa2qgGcA2uIBD9E3TmulhtQz2p9IROMfGXJUEWa3LUIVnu188RAukJaNkuPWJ9ZAi8rFcdYdifhkoOrLGeFcHtIoo2MqPxojjSAHGKKkZWjiqGcfuF41fz2T9iein6C_fdL3o/s320/shaunofthedea_wideweb__430x280.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5261439126917898178" />
Surviving the Dead
Actors: Simon Pegg, Kate Ashfield, Nick Frost, Lucy Davis, Dylan Moran, Nicola Cunningham.
This comedy, Shaun Of The Dead, starts out like this : Shaun sitting in a British pub, called the Winchester, sixth his girlfriend Liz trying to convince her that he can change and become a better person and stop being such a loser all of the time. Then the movie flashes six hours into the next day, and you see Shaun stumbling into the living room falls on the couch and starts playing video games with his unemployed friend, until his friend, Ed, reminds him about work. So Shaun gets ready for work and has a conversation with his other friend about kicking Ed out of the house. For the most part this is Shaun’s everyday routine. This is until everyone turns into a zombie except for Shaun and a few friends. This is Shaun’s time to redeem himself, will he grow up and save hassle and his friends or will he watch as his friends perish and die with them?
I liked this movie for several reasons. First I liked this movie because it has a lot of funny scenes. For example there is one scene in the movie where Shaun goes into his moms house and is about to kill Phalli, his step dad, until he says, “Sorry Phillip” and Phillip says, “Why what have you done this time?” and Shaun jumps back, freaks out and answers, “Nothing.” Secondly I liked this movie because it develops the characters very well and really shows what the characters are like. Last I liked this movie because it actually has funny parts, not like other comedies where they tell lame jokes and have irrelevant concepts to the movie.
I recommend this movie because it’s funny an it’s about Zombies that get bashed in the head by the main character. Also I recommend this movie because the characters make the movie plot develop in a way where it makes the movie easy to follow.
DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-45938248734424137292008-10-14T12:29:00.001-06:002008-10-14T12:30:57.464-06:00Eminem/Slim Shady
Eminem/ Slim Shady
Marshall Bruce Mathews III was born on October 17 1972. Marshall had many problems as a child one of the main problems was he had no father figure. Another main reason is he and his mom were constantly moving until he was at the age of 14. After he finally stopped moving he became interested in hip/hop, rap and started participating in underground rap battles at the age of 17. Early in his career Eminem was “sponsored” by brothers Jeff and Bark Mass, in their basement. Then shortly after that Eminem got a minimum wage job at a restaurant to help raise his daughter Hailie. Once Dr. Dre heard about Eminem he helped Eminem by promoting his songs and producing some of them and helped him become famous. Eminem then sold many records very fast, but one record “ The Marshall Mathers LP” broke the record for most sold copies in a limited time set by Britney Spears and Snoop Dogg. Some of Eminem’s other highest and best albums include; The Eminem Show and Encore.

Eminem or Slim Shady was also in a band. Slim shady was one of the former singers in D12 before they split up and went on to solo careers. Slim Shady and his “crew” then regrouped after a 4 year brake from 2000-2004 and made a new song called “My Band” . After a turn of unfortunate event one of the D12 members was shot by a bouncer and cousin of a different band. Slim shady and the rest of his band then spoke at his funeral wishing him to Rest In Peace.

Furthermore Slim Shady also produced a few movies and voiced some characters in 50 cent bulletproof. Eminem’s 8 Mile autobiographical movie was very successful and personally helped me understand his life better. But his second film was not as successful The Wash.

Slim Shady then had many legal troubles that not only involved his at the time wife but also his career. At one incident he pulled out and unloaded gun and pointed it at the ground and yelled at a man. In another incident he assaulted a bouncer for kissing his wife. Furthermore he was sued by his own mother for using her name in one of his songs and discrediting her. Then he was arrested for the previous assaults and was given probation and forced to do several hours of community service. To end all of these legal troubles Slim shady became independent from drugs and finally sobered up.

DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-51030278467971586272008-10-06T10:49:00.000-06:002008-10-06T10:50:33.531-06:00Bball game(eminem vs kimmel)DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-85907494703135305282008-10-06T10:43:00.001-06:002008-10-06T10:43:37.049-06:00Eminem sweetDcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-73899520240646339562008-10-02T10:47:00.001-06:002008-10-02T10:54:37.996-06:00What is unique about me?What is unique about me? I am an American and I haven’t lived in the U.S. since I was six for more than 3 months at a time. Also, I have had intensive Russian courses since I was six years old and I have lived in three former soviet countries to help my Russian so I could get the most out of my Russian classes. My favorite sports are soccer and football but, I have never played for an official football team. Anyway there are many other things I like but I have things I really dislike to, for example; baseball and country music. The only thing I hate more than baseball is country music. But the most unique thing about me is that I like to write short stories for fun.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-67728057206294105452008-09-25T10:46:00.004-06:002008-09-25T23:23:25.685-06:00Question to think about.Politics and political problems are a subject for adults to deal with.-disagree.
I disagree with that statement because if the adults make all the decisions then the kids wont get to even have a say in their future and sometimes adults don't have as good ideas because they only want to look at it from one perspective.

All stories can have a happy ending if those involved work towards it.-agree-disagree
I agree with that statement because anything is possible if you believe in it. But i also disagree with that statement because even if you work for something as hard as you can you might be in a situation where you have no power to change anything or the power to make it end happily.

Literacy(being able to read) is a form of freedom- agree
I agree with that statement because by reading you get a whole insight into other people lives and what is going on around you. Furthermore if you cant read than you cant really participate in some activities and it is harder to get people opinion in the newspaper.

Civilizations without a written language cannot document history.-disagree-agree

I disagree with that statement because there are other ways to document history , like recording, pictures, and drawings. But I also agree with that statement because only some things can be documented by writings such as history text books and years certain events took place.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4398999631232886569.post-16566622427344809392008-09-25T10:13:00.002-06:002008-09-25T10:13:52.137-06:00The Secret Life of Mr. WhiteThere are many teachers in the world with secret lives. Many of their lives probably include going to the gym and partying, but not Mr. White.
Mr. White’s secret life started over the summer when the Redskins held tryouts for a new quarterback. One day Mr. White was driving home from work and saw a big sign with a picture of the Redskins old quarterback, Mark Brunel, with directions that stated: go to miles straight and make a left towards the stadium. Mr. White proceeded to the stadium, went in and saw that there was try outs for a new quarter back. Mr. White immediately changed clothes and began trying to impress the coaches. At first he was very nervous and started goofing up. But as time progressed he started to do better. He started throwing good passes and avoided getting sacked. After about four hours when the tryouts ended Mr. White drove home a tiredly stumbled into his house and collapsed onto his brand new couch. Then Mr. White’s wife ran over and nosily asked him why he was so exhausted. In order for Mr. White to keep his secret life a secret he told her, “I just had a hard day and was really tired.” Then Mr. White passed out. The next day Mr. White waited all day for the Redskins coach to call and give him any kind of news so he could stop racking his brain. Every day for about two weeks he continued this antagonizing routine. On the fourteenth day when Mr. White gave up the head coach called and gave him fantastic news, he made the team and he wanted Mr. White to meet him and the team at the stadium on Saturday at noon. Mr. White immediately jumped up excitedly and started to dance with his wife. She then asked puzzled why he was so happy. Mr. White froze and his heart sank for he thought that his wife would fin out about his secret life and that she would not approve. But she then answered her own question and said, “Oh you got the promotion, yes!” Then Mr. White laughed and said; “Yes, I got the promotion.”
When Saturday finally arrived, Mr. White rushed over to the stadium hoping that he would be on time because traffic was so bad. But Mr. White was there just in time to start practicing with the rest of the team. Mr. White soon found out that foot ball was not an s easy or as fun as it once looked to him. But he didn’t give up for he loved the game to much. Furthermore all of his teammates quickly decide that it would be wise to please him considering he was the captain of the team. Which in turn not only helped the moral of the team but it also lead them to win their first game and eventually win the super bowl. But the first game was not easy. At first Mr. White threw two interceptions and got sacked once, but once he loosened up he was fine. His stats at the end of the year were 1000 yards passing and 50 rushing yards. Obviously Mr. White’s wife found out about his secret life and so did the rest of the world because he was the rookie of the year. At the end of the season Mr. White took a break from the NFL focused on work and retired from teaching in 8 months and became a full time quarterback for the Redskins.

The End.DcIpodmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03063141449771055717noreply@blogger.com0
